This position's responsibilities range from minimal cash handling and basic transactions to product and service sales, and referrals to other lines of business. Required skill sets for success in this position include key product knowledge, relationship building, customer service, and expert referral skills. This position will work closely with our retail, operations, and lending staff members. Promotes, represents, and welcomes current and potential customers and vendors to the bank in a professional and inviting manner. Identifies customers' needs and provides bank products and services as solutions to ensure the customer is informed, fully understands the products and services, and is confident in the bank's offerings. Executes banking transactions for customers, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, etc. and completes retail support activities, including but not limited to processing coin and handling safe deposit box requests. Maintains proper cash levels and keeps cash secure at all times. Accurately balances drawer, vault (including buying/selling currency) and ATM. Reports variations in accordance with bank policy. Executes customer transactions including opening new checking and business accounts, opening certificates of deposits, IRAs, and HSAs, closing accounts, and executing related products and services transactions. Establishes files and records associated with setting up and maintaining personal and business account products and services, including but not limited to online and mobile banking, cash management, payroll, ACH, fraud protection, and merchant capture services. In small branches, this position may manage, balance, and maintain the vault and ensure the branch cash needs are met and maintained. Ensures efficiency of branch services operations and adheres to policies and procedures. Prepares miscellaneous reports and paperwork and conducts audits as necessary. Occasionally travels to different branches to support the retail needs of each branch as requested. Attends Branch meetings and scheduled meetings for bank-wide participation. Participates in community and/or outside sales events to support the branch/market. Performs other duties as requested or assigned. Key Competency Requirements
