As a Senior Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to build new applications and services from scratch as well as extending the functionality of existing applications and services./ppThe role expects strong networking knowledge, and experience in designing and implementing Cloud networking solutions for multi-tenant architecture. Duties and responsibilities include:/pulliStrong networking knowledge, and experience in designing and implementing Cloud networking solutions for multi-tenant architecture./liliArchitect and develop core cloud services, infrastructure prototypes, and proofs-of-concept./liliRoughly 70% hands-on work writing code, building infrastructure, and driving solutions./liliDesign and implement scalable and secure network architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP./liliDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful services as part of scalable, cloud-native architectures./liliLead technical projects with minimal guidance, from design through execution./liliBuild and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation./liliDevelop services and infrastructure on Kubernetes and containerized platforms (e.g., Docker)./liliHands-on experience with network administration across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including: Private Link, NAT Gateway, VPN, API Gateway, Route 53, Layer 4/Layer 7 Load Balancing, VPCs, ACLs, Subnets, Peering, Firewalls, DNS resolution, and network security./liliCollaborate across teams and work closely with security, platform, and application teams./liliCommunicate technical decisions clearly to engineers and stakeholders./liliMentor and coach junior engineers on cloud development, best practices, and system design./li/ulpYou will join the Teradata Managed Cloud team as a Senior Software Engineer focused on building cutting-edge software for delivering cloud-based products and services./ppWhat makes you a qualified candidate:/pulliMasters or higher in Computer Science or related field./lili10+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure and networking./liliProven ability to lead and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects independently./liliExcellent communication and collaboration skills./liliExtensive experience in professional software engineering, including agile development./liliExperience developing large distributed systems and cloud services that are scalable, reliable, secure, and supportable./liliExtensive experience with RESTful services, Web Services, CI/CD systems./li/ulpWhat you will bring:/pulliStrong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) especially in networking and security./liliSolid hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture./liliStrong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to resolve complex connectivity issues using tools such as Wireshark./liliExpert knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation./liliProficient in Python, Go, Bash, or other scripting languages./liliExperience working with remote and offshore teams in a collaborative environment./liliFamiliarity with Jira, Git, GitHub Actions/Runners, and Jenkins./li/ulpWe prioritize a people-first culture because we know our people are at the very heart of our success. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance.
