Our client has a need for a Buyer Powertrain. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. **Job Responsibilities**

Your specific duties as a Buyer Powertrain will include:

* The open position is a NA Central Buyer supporting the Exhaust Commodity. This Central desk is involved with detailed cost negotiations with suppliers on piece price and tooling. Applicant must be able to work across departments to gain alignment and close open issues to meet timing. Supply chain management is also a key factor for success to ensure a high quality supply chain to support the Assy Plants

**Job Requirements**

As a Buyer Powertrain you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

* Problem solving, data analytics, value chain knowledge to determine cost competitiveness, ability to handle multiple projects and deliverables

* Microsoft Office Applications Knowledge of the Company systems: WIPS, WERS,CMMS

* 5+ plus years in Purchasing (automotive preferred)

* BS - Business or Engineering
