The C ounter S ales As sociate obtains orders from and maintains relationships with e xisting customers in the retail store environment and through ongoing engagement with repeat customers.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

* Generate acceptable g ross p rofit through sale of products.

* Track customer orders for on-time delivery and appropriate billing.

* Maintain counter sales area for appearance and current supplier promotional materials.

* Handle customer returns and credits in a timely fashion.

* Follow up by phone or visit on quo tes submitted to customers.

* Ensure customers receive orders in a timely and accurate fashion.

* Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, other key personnel).

* Grow business by making outbound calls to existing customers and prospects.

* Maintain communications with key internal resources concerning customer relations and responds to concerns in a timely manner.

* Communicate promotional activities to key customers in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities Complete all other appropriate tasks or duties assigned by supervisor. Required Skills/Abilities

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills .

* Strong customer service skills.

* Self - motivated and a self-starter .

* Sense of urgency .

* Ability to work with minimal supervision .

* Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and ERP systems

Minimum Requirements : High school diploma or GED, or some high school with applicable experience. Six months operation s experience in the electrical distribution industry. Desired Qualifications : One year of operations experience at Mayer or equivalent sales experience in the electrical distribution industry.

* The C ounter S ales A ssociate works in a temperature-controlled retail environment.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push and pull up to 200 lbs.
