Colorado Springs, CO 80909 Life Network exists to cultivate a community that values life through the love of ChristSTAFF NURSE (Part-time)The Staff Nurse provides support and care to the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center (CSPC) patients and maintains professional standards of care. We seek a professional who is compassionate and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This position's responsibilities are varied and include clinical services, nursing interventions, patient referrals, medical follow-up, as well as educational instruction. This position offers an individual a rewarding opportunity to minister in a dynamic and growing evangelistic ministry.RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain current working knowledge of nursing methods, principles, and practices in relation to pregnancy, STIs, the prevention and treatment of disease, ultrasounds, safety and infection control, clinical systems, supplies, and equipmentPerform nursing services for the pregnancy centers, including but not limited to pregnancy tests, STI tests, education, client follow-up, maintenance of accurate client records, review of client files, and maintenance of supply inventory as assignedSchedule and perform limited ultrasoundsMaintain and promote clinic cleanliness and safety as stated in the Policies and ProceduresAssist with volunteer recruitment, training, supervision, and direct supportAssist with program developmentAssist Nurse Manager with administrative duties as assigned and works in support of CSPC DirectorAssist other staff and helps fill staffing vacanciesOpportunity to teach childbirth educational classes depending on proficienciesAssist Client Services staff with planning and implementation of in-service trainings and volunteer appreciation eventsAdditional duties as assignedParticipates in staff development events and volunteer in-servicesParticipation by all staff is required at Life Network's major eventsEXPERIENCEHolds a current Registered Nurse's License in good standing with the State Medical BoardA bachelor's degree in nursing is highly preferredPrevious ultrasound experience a plusSpanish speaking a plusQUALIFICATIONSStrong advocate for the sanctity of life issuesPossesses Christian testimony with evidence of Christian maturity in personal and professional lifeActive commitment to a local churchA passion for the ministry accomplished through Life Network and a heart for reaching the lost of our community/world with the GospelMust demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discernment while assisting in maintaining positive working relationships with staff, clients, and volunteersAble to occasionally lift 20 to 30 lbs.Teachable spirit and functions well in a team environmentAptitude to learn software programs and systemsFlexible in unanticipated and unusual situationsComputer skills in Microsoft Office applications and Internet savvy CLASSIFICATIONPart-time for 20 hours per week. Pay range: $25.50 - $30.00 per hour. Reports to the Nurse Manager.Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility for Saturdays and one evening a week.
