Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.
- Researches, coordinates and purchases technology across County and Departments, mobile devices, servers, switches, computers, etc.
- Manages mobile cellular device deployment from internal purchase approval forms to deployment of devices/services, including technical troubleshooting of hardware and carrier Services.
- Builds recurring reports, audits, identifies, and coordinates deployment of annual technology refresh items.
- Receives purchased items and creates/manages inventoried hardware.
- Administers and audit all cellular carrier accounts and rectify billing discrepancies.
- Collaborates with technology department team supervisors to create purchasing strategies/procedures/processes to optimize technology purchases.
- Updates existing process documentation and prepares control documentation, flowcharts, policies and procedures specific to IT purchases.
- Performs related work as required.
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by four (4) years responsible experience in municipal procurement and practical application of current technology systems and associated software support systems; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Physical Demands:
- Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.
- None.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
