Job Summary:

Pullman Building Supply is seeking a dedicated and hard-working individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into a hands-on role. As a Rental Department Associate and driver, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting customers, managing a variety of power equipment, and handling deliveries. If you have experience driving, towing, and hauling equipment to and from customer job sites, we highly encourage you to apply.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with their rental needs, answering questions, and offering guidance on equipment use
• Efficiently load and unload rental equipment, ensuring it is secure and ready for transportation
• Clean and inspect rental equipment upon return to ensure it is in good working condition. Identify any equipment that requires repair and perform general maintenance tasks to keep all equipment in optimal condition
• Safely deliver equipment to and from customer job sites. Experience pulling a tandem axle gooseneck trailer is essential for this role
• Apply logic and critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions regarding equipment and customer service
• Assemble equipment as needed and utilize any mechanical experience to ensure all equipment is functional and safe to use

Working Conditions:

The role is physically demanding, involving extended periods of time on foot and handling heavy equipment. Work environment includes varying temperatures and weather conditions, requiring resilience and adaptability.

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Skills and Qualifications:

• High level of attention to detail to ensure equipment is maintained and handled properly
• Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions
• Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting various types of power equipment
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in varying weather conditions
