BASIC FUNCTIONS: As a growing business within Nucor Corporation, Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking an entry level Accountant that will be responsible for:
- Maintaining operational data and assist with various financial related projects.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports and various general ledger entries.
- Be involved in analyzing and reporting on raw materials and other operational data for manufacturing, safety, and quality; as well as maintaining internal control structures.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related business field with major course work in accounting
- Computer Skills - Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office products
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing company
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with use of Oracle ERP financial software system
