The Assistant Controller assists the Controller by overseeing the Accounting, AP, and financial reporting functions. They will be responsible for generating financial reports, preparation of journal entries, month close responsibilities, general ledger reconciliations, and other projects. Additionally this role will assist with the management of the accounts payable department and help oversee the training and development of the junior staff. This individual should be comfortable at managing multiple deadlines, projects, and other staff. They should encourage efficient use and maintenance of departmental and total organizational financial resources. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Also, make recommendations, educate and assist with new system implementations, as well as implementation of policies and improvements as identified.
Position Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of three (3) years' of higher level experience preferably in a healthcare setting
