Direct Hire Ncite Partners is partnering with a well-established national manufacturing processing plant in the OKC area looking to hire a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer is responsible for effectively identifying process variations and leading efforts to reduce these variations and known losses, as well as leading and participating in Quality & Process Controls Projects. Work in a WCM environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste, and provide for continuous improvements in meeting all customer requirements. Job Responsibilities Leads horizontal and vertical quality projects to reduce variation and scrap using quality and process improvement tools. Build strong, working relationships with major customer stakeholders and in-house development teams to ensure transparent communication and support. Leads and investigates defective and/or damaged products reported by customer. Report to customers containment measures, root cause and corrective actions taken to ensure resolution sustainment. Initiates containment of stock at all locations and prevent further substandard production. Member of Q&PC Pillar Team, Quality Enhanced Work Order (Q-EWO) teams, QA Matrix and Control Plan sustainment. Obtains product technical properties data to perform SPC (Statistical Process Control) studies. Develops and executes Design of Experiments as required to improve the processes. Completes Measurement System Analysis (MSA) or gauge R&R studies of key product testing processes. Conducts process capability studies to determine Cp/Cpk values for critical process parameters and determines action plans to bring process into control. Assures that processes comply with ISO9001:2015 requirements. Develops PPAP packages. Supports the Product Conformity development process, including creating/updating product specifications, Reference documents, performance analysis Manages Document Control process and write S.O.P’s following company guidelines. Ability to become an ISO Certified Quality Auditor (CQA). Assists with new product introduction, representing the customer and support and manage pre-production trial runs and first off sample approvals. Promotes the use of customer preferred techniques for focus improvement such as Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis. Participates in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and represent the customer’s views. Performs all other tasks, projects and duties assigned by Quality Manager. Performs all duties and responsibilities within Quality System guidelines. Open to a flexible and fluid work environment. Work on any assignment as directed. Comply with all safety guidelines, both written and implied. Job Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required. Minimum two (2) years combined experience in a Quality and/or Manufacturing role within a manufacturing environment. Must have medium to advanced Excel knowledge and skills to be able to perform effective statistical analysis. Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Basic knowledge ISO9001:2015 requirements. Engineering Skills: First Pass Yield Analysis, PPAP, FMEA / PFMEA, Control Plan, Corrective Action Process, Q-EWO, 8D, Layered Process Audits, Root Cause Analysis 5 , Why, Process Capability, Cp / Cpk. Proven ability to lead effective Kaizen teams and coach others. Able to forward think, and anticipate impact of decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate with management, and staff by exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills. Energetic, self-motivated, organized individual who is accustomed to working in a deadline-focused, high-pressure entrepreneurial environment. Data and results oriented; acts with a sense of urgency. Strong attention to detail; ability to complete task with accuracy and efficiency. Ability to take initiative to take preventive or corrective action if a defect occurs. Ability to understand equipment functions, manuals, process, and procedures. Good understanding of plant safety procedures and safety requirements.
