Power Markets Analyst:

We are partnered with a leading player in the energy sector, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to meet the world's growing energy needs. We are looking for a talented and motivated Analyst to join the Power Marketing & Trading team and play a crucial role in the growth of the trading business.

As an Analyst in the Energy Marketing & Trading team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategies related to the buying, selling, and trading of energy commodities. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing market data, assessing risk, and helping to optimize trading strategies. Your work will directly impact our organization's bottom line and contribute to our success in a rapidly evolving energy market.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze market data, trends, and relevant information to support trading decisions.

Collaborate with traders and risk managers to develop and refine trading strategies.

Monitor and report on energy market conditions and developments.

Assist in managing risk through the use of financial instruments and hedging strategies.

Prepare reports and presentations to communicate market insights to stakeholders.

Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

2+ years of energy markets experience in a trading or analytical role

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen interest in the energy market.

Knowledge of energy market fundamentals and trading concepts.

Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of relevant software tools and platforms used in energy trading is an advantage.
