Senior Accountant

6 month role, $35-$40/hr. Contract

Must haves:

-Accounting or Finance degree

-4+ years of GL accounting

-US Citizen or Green Card holder

Senior Accountant

General Responsibilities

Meets accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements

Enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

Monitor and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting practices

Meets accounting financial standards by providing accounting department annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions

Maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements

Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls

Tracks track commercial projects progress towards completion to roll forward percentage-of-completion revenue recognition

Process, track, and reconcile all AP and AR-related transactions.

Support Inventory and production teams for accurate tracking of inventory, WIP, and standard costs.

Maintain ownership of all balance sheet accounts

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with at least 7 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience of at least 12 or more years.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks

Strong communication skills; oral, written, and presentation

Strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results

Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
