Mental Health Tech Coordinator

Job DescriptionInova Fairfax Medical Campus has a great full-time Mental Health Technician Coordinator opportunity. The Mental Health Technician Coordinator assists in the delivery of direct patient care in a safe, therapeutic, and holistic manner. Collaborates with care team members to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care to meet individualized patient care outcomes. Develops a plan to meet professional development needs, to improve work performance and provides administrative support to facilitate operations of the clinic/department. This role is a full-time position. Job Responsibilities: Provides administrative support by answering phones, transcribing orders, and maintaining charts. Provides basic triage of patients, registers patients, takes vital signs and provides information on status. Communicates abnormal values and clinical changes to the appropriate staff member within 15 minutes. Registers patients for emergency and outpatient services while ensuring complete and accurate information is obtained. Schedules appointments in automated scheduling system. Makes copies, sends/receives faxes and opens/distributes mail. Reinforces transition/discharge teaching and home care skills. Utilizes the Healthcare Event Form to report variances in practice. Communicates and collaborates with care team members to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care to meet individualized patient care outcomes. Qualifications:Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience.
