CMK Resources is seeking a Senior Software Developer for our client in Ann Arbor, MI. The Sr. Software Developer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and providing support for our core product. You will collaborate closely with internal business partners and project team members throughout the development process.

We are seeking engineers in Ann Arbor, MI or surrounding areas that are willing to commit to a hybrid onsite work model.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Java and Python in a micro-services API framework, PostgreSQL, and React-key technologies that drive our core products.
  • Build backend components and contribute to frontend development as required within a small, agile team.
  • Design and implement integrations for applications and APIs, with a focus on security and error handling.
  • Actively involve other developers and subject matter experts to ensure integrations are efficient, supportable, and high-quality.
  • Perform thorough testing on all code changes and implement automated unit tests using popular integration testing frameworks.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining high standards.
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation and test cases.
  • Stay updated with new technologies by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and engaging in professional organizations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • 5-7 years of experience in developing enterprise-class full-stack services using Java or Python (C# experience with a willingness to work in Java/Python is acceptable).
  • Experience with React and Typescript or similar frameworks.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects efficiently and effectively
  • Solid experience with Test Driven Development practices
  • Knowledge of Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
  • Familiarity with AWS hosted services and cloud-native development.
  • Strong understanding of API-based integration and microservices design patterns and best practices
  • Experience with AI or ML applications or a strong passion for these fields.
  • Experience in a SaaS company or developing SaaS products is a plus.
