This is a full-time on-site role for a Geotechnical Engineer at GEC located in Orlando, FL. As a Project Geotechnical Engineer, you will manage geotechnical engineering projects ranging from private developments to roadway widenings under the direct supervision of a Senior Engineer. Responsibilities include:

Developing boring plans and managing field operations

Soil classification and developing laboratory testing programs

Project invoicing

Job Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or higher with a focus in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering

Florida Engineer Intern (EI) certification or the ability to obtain an EI within 6 months of hire

Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus but not required

Valid drivers license

Capable of performing field work including site reconnaissance, hand auger borings, and soil classification

Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Organized and structured, able to work within project constraints and deadlines

Able to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment with an energetic and professional demeanor
