Employment Opportunity Details:
- Full Time
- Shared Call
- Open heart surgery, thoracic surgery at a 364-bed hospital
- 30 bed acuity adaptable unit
- 1 cardiac OR, 1 hybrid room and 2nd cardiac OR to be completed in late 2024
- Structural heart program with TAVR and Watchman procedures
- Interdisciplinary work in collaboration with Oncology
- Comprehensive Benefits Package
- Call or text for compensation details
- Must have M.D., D.O., or equivalent education
- Completed a Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship
- American BC/BE in Surgery

Healthcare System/Hospital Description
The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
