City/StateNorfolk, VAOverviewWork ShiftFirst (Days) (United States of America)Sentara PACE is currently hiring a full time CNA to join their Home Care team in Norfolk, VA.Shift: 9am - 5:30pm w/ Weekend Rotation$2,500 Sign on Bonus to qualified candidatesJob Responsibilities:Performs basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, toileting, meal preparation and feeding, checks vital signs, intake/output, ambulation and assists patient with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the PACE center or in the home.Job Requirements:Licensed Nursing Assistant with VDH requiredBLS certification within 90 days of hireHS/GED or Graduate from a state approved Nursing Assistant Program/Trade School requiredFor applicants having recently completed approved program, state CNA certification required within 120 days of hire. New hires with existing state CNA must be in good standingWith locations in Portsmouth and Norfolk, Sentara PACE recognizes that older people often have medical problems that last for long periods of time and require services from several different sources. Of great concern is the fact that, as many people age, they become increasingly isolated from the support, companionship and resources of the community at large. Sentara PACE is that important link, assuring participants receive the care they need, when they need it.This program is a comprehensive health care and supportive services program for frail seniors who wish to remain in their homes and community. It is an alternative for those who are eligible for a nursing facility but would prefer to remain at home.The program provides total care for participants, including comprehensive medical and rehabilitative services, in-home services and transportation.
