Our Client is a well-established non-profit organization located in Metro Atlanta, dedicated to helping those that serve. They have a passionate team committed to making a difference in our community.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full life cycle of our general ledger (GL) using QuickBooks. You will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using QuickBooks
  • Assist with budgeting and variance analysis
  • Maintain accurate and detailed accounting records
  • Ensure timely completion of all tax filings
  • Provide support to the finance team with various accounting tasks
  • Stay up-to-date on non-profit accounting standards and best practices
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Proven experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) for non-profit organizations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
