The re-opened Cortlandt Street location will span the four main floors of the original downtown space and will offer men's, women's and children's designer apparel, footwear, outerwear, handbags accessories and fragrances.THE ROLEAs a Sales/Cashier, you will drive sales and service through Century 21's Core Values.All register complex activities related to purchases, returns, and exchanges are under your responsibilities.Furthermore, activities related to selling and service, merchandise standards, store maintenance, and shortage prevention are additional responsibilities you will have as a Sales/Cashier.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Greet customers warmly, answer their questions, and provide help as needed.Accurately scan items, handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, and issue receipts.Assist customers with returns and exchanges, ensuring adherence to company policies.Maintain a clean, neat, and organized complex and self-checkout area.Maintain a high sense of urgency to complete fast price check inquiries and complete the sale to avoid delays at the register complex.Be highly aware of any possible internal or external theft and alert Loss Prevention when necessary.Understand the operation of the cash register and follow all cash handling procedures.Attendance and Punctuality is a requirement.Operate registers and perform general checkout functions.Ensure a speedy checkout as needed.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels.
