Description:
Our team is seeking an experienced Virtual Desktop Engineer to support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. This role will be the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issue across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experienced in system design and integration, identity life-cycle management, and process automation and improvement.
Analyze system requirements and leads design, development and implementation activities.
Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
Develop and maintain technical documentation.
Develop System Architecture and system design documentation.
Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans, system integration and test plans.
The lead must be an effective communicator interacting with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts. Will ultimately be responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, and possesses the following knowledge and experience:

Qualifications:
ActiveTS/SCI with appropriate PolyClearance
Candidate must haveSecurity + CECertification
Bachelors degreein System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.Five (5) yearsof additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
Twenty (20) yearsof experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Only one (1) year of total experience is required in the Federal Government.
Individual will be required to install, configure, test and maintain an IT Infrastructure for various disparate classification domains. These infrastructures include legacy and next generation configurations.
Provide guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
Offers endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks on Virtual Desktop related tasks.
Maintains an Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
