Description:

As a Mechanical Engineer you will participate in making history designing and building a Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. This will be a one of a kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from WWII and Cold War plutonium production into a state that is safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect and insure the safety of near by river systems, communities, and wildlife throughout the northwest. - Designing the fluid and gas systems in the plant - Preparing technical reports and studies/design documentation, performing calculations using engineering software, and preparing specifications for complex mechanical equipment for the waste treatment process and supporting systems. - Process system design and will be capable of developing design documents, including piping and instrument diagrams and equipment data sheets, that incorporate the applicable design requirements, including nuclear safety requirements
