Allied CP Press Operator

Purpose of Job:The Press Operator or Commercial Press Feeder will assist in setup, run and maintenance of press and related equipment to produce quality product as directed by customer and job ticket specifications.Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:Assist in maintenance of all aspects of the press as directed by the lead pressman.Identify and stack/load proper paper products for jobs following job ticket specifications.Knowledge of paper products, inks, and their interactions with each other to ensure the highest quality product is being produced.Follow all work procedures and instructions per training and instruction by Department Manager. Responsible to communicate any questions to the appropriate person or department.Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.Assist in all quality checks.Work to maximize efficiency and productivity on all projects by utilizing all of the resources available.Responsible to attend and participate in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual meetings per invitation and instruction.Utilize our Quality Management System to promote an understanding of our customer needs and expectations.Help promote a culture where we exceed customer expectations.ABILITIES REQUIRED:Professional appearance and demeanorPositive attitude and team playerExcellent communication and organizational skills Strong attention to detailComfortable with exposure to moderate noise levels, equipment with moving parts and chemicalsAbility to operate machinery and/or equipmentQUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent3-5 years printing experience a plusAbility to lift, bend, stand and walkMust pass pre-employment screenings
