This is a safety sensitive position.Preferred candidates will provide support to the welding department by hand welding various small quantity jobs with special options.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:From the production schedule, locates the correct components to be welded and sets them up on robotic weldWelds componentsPerforms all required quality checksMonitors inventory levels to prevent stock outsDoes all patch work on welded componentsProvides support to operators running the automatic and robotic machinesCompletes all required paperworkMaintains a neat and orderly work areaAbility to read blue printsThis is a safety Sensitive role1st shift is 5a-330p2nd shift is 330p-2aRequirementsEducation and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceLanguage Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsMathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsReasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
