Forklift Driver

Spherion is looking for experienced and reliable Forklift Drivers to join an amazing team in Long Beach, CA.
As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products within the warehouse and storage areas.
The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
This position plays a vital role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that our warehouse functions smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, load, and unload materials in the warehouse.
Safely and accurately handle, transport, and store materials and products.
Maintain records of inventory movements, documenting items received and shipped.
Conduct routine safety and maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment.
Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Assist with general warehouse duties, including organizing, cleaning, and preparing items for shipment.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.

Working hours: 5:00 AM - 11:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:
Previous experience working in a similar role in a warehouse or distribution center.
Familiarity with warehouse management software or inventory tracking systems.
Additional certifications such as OSHA safety training or first aid training.
Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy objects.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a warehouse setting.
