**Job Summary**

Develop and execute production, shipping and/or purchase plans to ensure that supply plans meet inventory investment and customer service objectives.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**

* Model the Spectrum Brands eight Core Capabilities to achieve service excellence, meet and exceed organizational objectives and support fiscal responsibility.

* Must understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment.

* Analyze multiple sources of data to develop feasible, master production plans for finished goods based on capacity requirements.

* Strategically plan production and shipping capacity utilization.

* Work closely with the operations team to ensure production and shipping plans are executed in accordance with established strategies.

* Ensure that customer orders for frozen food deliveries are shipped according to the customers due date.

* Plan the necessary resources for shipping of frozen food.

* Establish the frozen food shipment schedule.

* Evaluate real-time forecast consumption and consumer level POS information; take corrective action to optimize inventory in accordance with those trends.

* Utilize and maintain advanced planning systems and optimization (APO/PPDS) to achieve working capital management, manufacturing stability and customer service level targets; includes creation and maintenance of critical master data.

* Provide Supply side analysis to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.

* Interact frequently with customer service, demand planning, sales, purchasing, and manufacturing personnel to balance supply and demand.

* Manage SMOG inventory. Direct salvage of damaged or unusable material.

* Identify and implement inventory management plans to address customer service and cost improvement objectives.

* Facilitate excellent vendor management practices.

* Contribute as a key team member at meetings and reviews, with key accountabilities for providing metrics, resolving issues, proposing alternate methods, identifying corrective actions, and presenting information.

* Recommend and implement strategies to improve supply planning processes as well as manage risks and opportunities for assigned projects.

* Analyze department performance metrics to resolve issues and identify process improvement opportunities.

* Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion in a fluid environment.

* Comply with all company policies and procedures.

* Complete other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience Profile**

* Bachelors degree required; focus in Production and Operations Management preferred

* 5+ years related work experience in production and inventory management

* SAP certification or SAP experience in production planning module is strongly preferred

* APICS certification is a plus

**Required Skills**

* Ability to work in a team environment, sometimes as the facilitator of the team

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to prioritize work and follow through to completion

* Ability to read, analyze and interpret various information

* Strong mathematical ability

* Excellent presentation skills

* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization

* Must be familiar with using MRP system (SAP or similar)

* PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing, presentations)

**Work Environment**

95% office environment and 5% manufacturing environment
