Description:
+ CNC Programmer/ MFG engineer is responsible for managing the creation and improvement of manufacturing processes & CNC programs.
+ Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting analysis; applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout and machining procedures.
+ Programmer will work across the organization to ensure timelines as well as quality goals are met.
+ Six plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
+ Familiarity with Fanuc, Fadal, and Okuma machines is preferred.
+ Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, process sketches, and understanding measuring instruments. Gibbs Cam experience preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ Read blue prints to review programming specifications.
+ Program and operate multi-axis machining centers
+ Assist in the design of machining fixtures to improve productivity.
+ Select tools and edit efficient programs for CNC machines to maximize utilization and minimize downtime of the equipment. Make offset and edit adjustments on machines.
+ Identify areas of improvement for fixturing, tool paths, tooling, etc. and implement action plans.
+ Assist in training of employees and the development of an entry-level machining program.
+ Aid other employees in determining sequential machining operations and troubleshooting problems.
+ Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
+ Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing process outputs and planning work flow.
+ Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
+ Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
+ Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
+ Provides manufacturing engineering information when responding to internal and external inquiries and maintain resolution documentation.
