Summary

As a Software Verification Intern at Universal Avionics, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects. Responsibilities consist of performing RTCA DO-178 software verification activities including generating verification procedures and test scripts, software requirements-based testing, test coverage testing and analysis, testing in support of product development, and preparation and review of software lifecycle data. This position requires detailed instructions and/or close supervision on all work assignments. This internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Acquire sufficient knowledge of UASC's development processes and procedures to complete the following tasks: Develop and revise Software Verification Cases and Procedures (SVCPs) using Software Requirements Data (SRD). Develop and revise test scripts, test software and configuration files to support SVCPs. Perform preliminary, dry run, formal and regression software test using SVCPs. Perform requirements-based test coverage analysis. Set up, tear down and document test stations used for verification activities.

Education and/or Experience

Currently enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a Math related field. Strong academic performance with a focus on relevant coursework. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
