Employee Relations Support: Provide guidance on California-specific employee relations matters, including state-mandated conflict resolution practices, responding to complaints of discrimination or harassment, and handling terminations within the framework of California law. Support International Team: While the primary focus is on the domestic team, assist with administrative HR tasks related to the international team as needed. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of HR administration experience, preferably with knowledge of California employment laws, including wage and hour laws, leave requirements, and compliance regulations. Strong understanding of payroll processing and benefits administration, with experience using Paychex or similar payroll software. Familiarity with HR software such as Workable for managing onboarding, offboarding, time-off tracking, and organizational charts. Proven experience handling onboarding processes, including managing employment contracts, NDAs, and other critical documentation. Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, with an emphasis on California-specific regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Proactive problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to improving HR processes. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, scaling environment.
