Job Description

Your Responsibilities

As a Logistics Analyst, you will analyze, develop and execute logistics plans that favorably affect production, distribution, and inventory without sacrificing internal and external customer requirements by partnering with key stakeholders and 3rd Party Logistics providers.
  • Maintain logistics databases with accurate data from various sources by business function
  • Analyze transportation expenses and effectively report variances to plan
  • Monitor compliance to standards and policies
  • Design and develop reporting at detail and summary level
  • Support/Facilitate root cause countermeasure activity against performance goals
  • Solve for carrier and broker performance issues
  • Identify fleet capacity and utilization improvement opportunities
  • Support fleet management as needed
  • Support fleet routing for cost analysis and savings analysis
  • Facilitate lane bids across various modes for analysis and award
  • Identify opportunities for cost benefit
  • Identify accurate mode selection including fleet resources
  • Participate in establishing automated routing and load planning requirements
  • Identify and present best practices that TopBuild would benefit from
  • Support system enhancements and user training
  • Manage projects assigned ensuring timely execution and completion, involving all stakeholders
  • Support CHR and AP functions with standard invoicing, on time payment and resolving invoice exceptions
  • Support strategic carrier selection and compliance management
  • Maintain awareness of relevant agreements and service level requirements
  • Other Logistics/Fleet/DOT Compliance duties as assigned
Your Qualifications
  • Minimum Degree: Bachelor's degree preferred, or Associate degree considered with experience. Course of Study: Supply Chain, Logistics or Data Analystics
  • Preferred 5 years transportation and logistics experience
  • Transportation industry experience preferred
  • Legal Age Requirements: At least 18 years of age
  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and competent in Microsoft Access, Power BI and other Microsoft 365 applications
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven expertise in process improvement
  • Exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers or vendors
