Lead/Principal Electrical Engineer

-As the Lead Electrical Engineer you will act as an expert resource for the electrical engineering portion of facilities projects. These duties involve providing design, analysis and field engineering support for projects and Physical Facilities programs. You will be a PE licensed engineer comfortable with providing insight on key project decisions. You will be expected to work independently with limited supervision, utilizing broad experience and training to solve complex problems.As the Principal Electronic Engineer, you will provide master-level electrical project engineering support and oversight through review, research, analysis, design, communication, coordination, and field observation activities. You will provide strategic direction to ensure electrical project scope is executed successfully and in accordance with university standards and the customer's desired results. This position will collaborate with project managers for resolution of engineering issues on projects. You will also review and comment on engineering work from outside architectural/engineering firms.You will collaborate with all members of the project team through planning, design, construction, and warranty. You will also provide master-level post-project facility engineering consultation, often on complex and multi-dimensional issues and provide design, analysis, and field engineering support and oversight of select projects and Physical Facilities programs. This position will also provide facilities engineering support and oversight to operations and maintenance staff and other departments upon request.
