About the team The Cards team at Stripe is responsible for the infrastructure, user facing features, and business of accepting credit, debit, and pre-paid card payments. Delivering the best offering for processing credit, debit, and prepaid cards is critical to Stripes mission, given the central role card payments play in internet commerce. What youll do We are hiring a product manager to drive our Stripe Cards Vault product efforts and strategy globally. Specifically, this product manager will own a critical card payments performance product that is used by millions of Stripe customers to tokenize, manage and update their card credentials. Our Cards Vault is paramount to our customers as it directly helps grow their revenue and reduce user churn thanks to secure, always up to date credentials for returning customers. In this role, you will own the roadmap and business impact of one Stripes core business critical products. You will engage with key ecosystem partners such as card networks, partner with an experienced Engineering lead and collaborate with GTM teams to ensure Stripes card updater and tokenization solutions are defining the industry best-in-class standard. Responsibilities Develop the long-term vision and strategy for Stripes Card updater capabilities Develop a holistic strategy for Stripes tokenization solutions to support our multiprocessor strategy Engage with users to deeply understand their needs, associated pain points and opportunitiesBuild and launch new capabilities that bring significant value to customers Set priorities and execution roadmap for the team, innovate with your engineering team to identify novel opportunities Work with Finance to maintain product P&L and identify opportunities for growth and improvement Collaborate with other stakeholders across Stripe such as Data Science, Product Marketing, Payments Strategists and GTM teams to deliver high quality product experience to users. Minimum requirements Product experience: 5+ years of relevant experience Strong business acumen: You enjoy digging into the details of how a business works, identifying how to make it better, and building product solutions that deliver business value Analytical horsepower: You dig deep into the data, think from first principles, and deliver the right results Results-oriented: You enjoy doing whatever it takes to execute on complex projects Customer and Partner facing experience: Youre comfortable in front of customers or third-party collaborators, and have experience navigating customer conversations Operational savvy: You are strong operationally, capable of designing and driving a cross-functional team and process Crisp communicator: High attention to detail including precise and effective communications, including with external customers/partners Preferred qualifications Experience in or knowledge of card based payments, or payments in general Experience with SQL or a willingness/aptitude to learn Experience working with products with complex technical systems Experience in external facing role (sales, partnerships) and business negotiation This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams. A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on?sites, meet?ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live. The annual US base salary range for this role is $178,600 $268,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the roles On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidates experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
