We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:

  • Be part of a dynamic critical care collaborative team, providing care to many types of Medical/Surgical critical care patients and Burn patients
  • Be an active member of the multidisciplinary team and collaborate in the development, execution and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care.
  • Be part of a newly built Critical Care Unit.
  • Be part of our Client-Verified Burn Center as well as Level One Trauma Center.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Facility Requirement:
    • Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile: resume, Medefis portal and all onboarding documentation must have permanent address listed).
  • Experience:
    • ICU experience required.
    • No burn experience necessary.
    • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
    • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
    • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
  • Licensure and Certification:
    • Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
    • BLS, ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
  • Reference
    • Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
  • Telemetry
    • Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions). UW Health Recruitment will send instructions to traveler 2-3 weeks prior to start date.
  • Floating
    • Travelers re the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization. During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
