As a member of our Agile development team, you will work collaboratively with a multi-functional group of experts across Mechanical, Electrical and Software engineering to deliver high-quality products through an iterative and incremental process. The team is be empowered to make decisions and is ultimately responsible for delivering value to our customers. You will work in short, time-boxed iterations (sprints) to deliver working product increments that can be tested, validated, and integrated into a larger project. Each member of the team is expected to play an active role in regular communication, feedback, and continuous improvement to ensure that the team is continuously optimizing efficiency and quality with a focus on customer happiness, transparency, and teamwork.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Design electronic circuitry for using in industrial applications with a focus on sensor technologies that facilitate health monitoring technology
- Balance power requirements, computational capability, communications strategies and data rates for optimal performance
- Work closely with our prognostics engineers on predictive and prescriptive analytics for process control elements
- Adopt Agile development methodology for iterative and incremental development processes in a team environment
- Design, analyze, and optimize industrial electronics for performance, cost and manufacturability
- Design, setup and implement software, valve, sensor and electronics testing
You look for obstacles and develop excellent contingency plans. You find and champion the best creative ideas and actively move them into implementation. You experiment with a wide range of existing technologies while applying new and emerging options that can enhance organizational outcomes. You orchestrate multiple activities simultaneously to accomplish a goal. You seek ways to improve processes, from small tweaks to complete reengineering.
FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant years of engineering experience commensurate with the level of the position
- Experience at collaborating with diverse work groups
- Low power and embedded systems experience
- Knowledge of various communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, RS485, RS232, BLE, HART
- Experience with electrical engineering tools, including Simulation Tools (P-SPICE or LT-SPICE), Oscilloscopes, function generators
- Design/testing experience for EMC, CE/ATEX, CSA a plus
- Be self-motivated and function well in a team environment
- Be able to work independently
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role
- Minimum of 5+ years relevant industry experience.
- Control valve business knowledge and experience
- Experience with sensors and industrial electronics
- Experience with sensor technologies, integration, power management, and communications protocols
