Job Summary:

The Parts Specialist provides administrative support to the maintenance function while working with the Shop Foreman to ensure that parts are always ready and available to minimize fleet downtime. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard-working, and possess natural mechanical aptitude with the ability and drive to find solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • The FPC Reports to the Director of Maintenance and is required to work daily (M-F) from 8am to 5pm or 9AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Input fleet information into the fleet management system.
  • Create and enter work orders into the fleet management system.
  • Maintains fleet and parts records.
  • Order parts from approved vendors.
  • Assist the shop foreman and technicians in researching required parts.
  • Assures the availability of parts in a cost-effective manner.
  • Receives, tags, stocks, and dispenses parts to mechanics.
  • Maintain parts organization and inventory including cycle counting parts.
  • Maintain a Clean and clutter-free work environment
  • Pick up Parts from vendors as needed
Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Related Parts experience in a maintenance/trucking industry. 1year preferred
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1+ year of general office experience or equivalent training.
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, data entry, Fleet Management software and email.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities with speed and accuracy.
  • Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
