We recruit, hire, train, and promote in all job classifications and at all levels without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, marital status, or genetics."For more information about this position, contact Anny Friedrichsen at 402-853-4914 or email anny.c.friedrichse@nebraska.gov.Job dutiesAs a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, you will:Provide individual and or group therapy according to the individual treatment plan.Share clinical observations with the treatment team.Compile patient individual and group progress notes, documenting according to LRC Standards and DHHS/LRC policies and procedures.Prepare for interdisciplinary treatment planning, actively participate in treatment planning and contribute therapist perspective and recommendations.Participate in team and or clinical meetings to address program concerns and needs.Participate in performance improvement.Attend and participates in program planning committees, in-service training and monthly LMHP department meetings.Present and participate in peer reviews to demonstrate competency.Requirements / Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Behavioral Health Practitioner IV: State of Nebraska licenses as Mental Health Practitioner and Alcohol and Drug Counselor.Behavioral Health Practitioner III: Nebraska license as Mental Health Practitioner or Nebraska license as Alcohol and Drug Counselor AND Nebraska Provisional License as Mental Health Practitioner or Nebraska Provisional License as Alcohol and Drug Counselor.Behavioral Health Practitioner II: Nebraska License as Mental Health Practitioner.Behavioral Health Practitioner I: Provisional license to practice as a mental health practitioner in Nebraska.Legal Requirements: Licensure requirements pursuant to Nebraska State Statutes 38-2122 and 38-316Preferred Qualifications: Candidates who are fully licensed as a LMHP are preferred but those with a provisional license will be considered.Hiring rate of position:Pay commensurate with licensure.Licensed as a Mental Health Practitioner AND Alcohol and Drug Counselor with the State of Nebraska or as LIMHP: $32.717/hour.Mental Health Practitioner or Alcohol and Drug Counselor License AND a Provisional license in the other: $30.435/hour.Licensed as Mental Health Practitioner: $28.312/hour.Provisionally licensed applicants: $24.134/hour until fully licensed.PLMHP $24.1341; LMHP $28.312; LMHP/PLADC $30.435; LMHP/LACD & LIMHP $32.717.Additional $3.00/hr. facility differential.Work schedule:Various Shifts Available: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm OR Wednesday - Saturday 8:00am - 7:00pm, with Sun/Mon/Tues off. Will discuss at interview.Knowledge of: DSM-5, patterns and processes of normal growth and development; mental and emotional disorders; behavior management and modification; applied behavior analysis; signs and symptoms of alcohol and drug abuse, dependence or disorders; psycho educational training; individual, group, and family therapy techniques; system theories and bio-psychosocial intervention theories; social and cultural factors as related to mental health and substance abuse; physical and mental problems of clients with alcohol and drug abuse, dependence or disorders; program specific treatment issues; methods and resources available for educating clients in chemical dependency; applicable agency policies and organizations; program specific philosophies, policies, and procedures.Skill in: individual and group counseling; communicating effectively; screening, assessment, and diagnosis; managing conflict; diffusing anger and maintaining a controlled environment.Ability to: demonstrate the application of therapy methods and techniques; communicate in person, by telephone as a group facilitator, and in written formats with persons served, other staff, families, and other agencies; monitor patient progress and recommend new strategies; prepare written reports; document findings and treatment; conceptualize, integrate and express interdisciplinary input; explain the significance of behavior patterns and signs to patients and other team members.BenefitsWe offer a comprehensive package of pay, benefits, paid time off, retirement and professional development opportunities to help you get the most out of your career and life.
