Dietitian

Schedule: 16hrs per week (must work Thursdays to participate in QAPI and risk meetings)
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the food services staff in the development and use of departmental procedures governing food service activities, equipment, supplies etc.
- Review and develop a plan of correction for any food service deficiencies noted during state/federal survey and provide written copy of such plan to the Administrator for approval
- Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the Food Services Department
- Review dietary requirements and/or restrictions of admitted patients in accordance with attending physician's diet plans
- Assist the Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the food services portion of the resident's discharge plan
- Assist in developing diet plans for individual residents and planning regular and specialized diets as prescribed by attending physician
- Covid vaccine and booster shot required
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Active current registered Dietitian required.
- 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Expertise in clinical nutrition, preferably geriatric rehab care practices in a skilled nursing setting.
- Possess knowledge of all applicable local, state and federal regulatory statues and guidelines pertaining to healthcare in the skilled nursing setting.
