University Purchasing Specialist - $30-35/hr

We are currently seeking a dedicated University Purchasing Specialist for a rewarding role that pays between $30-35 per hour, complemented by a hybrid work schedule that includes campus presence once weekly, typically on Mondays. This position is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic environment that demands precision and efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring standard and non-standard materials, supplies, equipment, and services, ensuring that all purchases deliver the best possible value and price according to the institute's stringent purchase guidelines.

The ideal candidate will bring at least two years of experience in the procurement field and a minimum of one year in customer service. You should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while ensuring meticulous attention to detail are essential. Experience with the Coupa system and prior involvement in procuring lab equipment, chemicals, and laboratory services is highly advantageous. Your commitment to high-level customer service and proven ability to work collaboratively within a team are imperative for success in this role.
