The Maintenance Technician maintains and troubleshoots equipment and machinery to minimize downtime. This role will require shift work -Nights 12 Hr. Job Location Granite Falls, NC Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Responsible for equipment safety. Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve all equipment aspects of plant machinery. Assembly, disassembly, converting, and upgrading equipment as required. Document all maintenance activities and champions preventative maintenance programs. Take proactive measures to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime. All other duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience and Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or credentialed equivalent in English & Mathematics A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a Maintenance role. Must have Mechanical experience. Electrical preferred, but willing to train the right candidate. Must have troubleshooting and problem resolution experience. Ability to complete assignments with limited supervision. Ability to read and interpret documents and blue print drawings. Working Conditions: Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds and endure elevated temperature levels. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a focus on quality. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions including basic mathematical skills. Shift Availability: Overnight Shift 7p-7a Overtime requirements: Overtime as needed daily or weekends based upon business needs. Attendance Must maintain an acceptable attendance record. Training Required On-site orientation and training will be provided.
