SHIFT: Part-Time7:00am-3:00pm BENEFITS:Weekly PaychecksReferral BonusesPeer MentorshipGenerous Paid Time OffJOB DESCRIPTION:Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning resident rooms and other interior and exterior facility areas and assisting in maintaining a clean and attractive environment for the residents.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure facility linens and resident's clothing items are correctly collected, sorted, laundered, distributed, and stored according to facility policyKeeps accurate records of linen inventoryMaintains a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas.Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all timesKeep stock of adequate supply of laundry suppliesMaintain cleanliness of facility materialPerforming basic housekeeping support procedures for residents as required by assisting in maintaining a clean and attractive environment for both residents and familiesClean patient rooms, offices, and common areas using cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, as well as both interior and exterior facility areasClean and sanitize floors, equipment, and furniture according to infection-control policiesOperate various types of cleaning equipmentREQUIREMENTS:Possess a high school diploma or sufficient knowledge and education to perform job functionsMust be at least 18 years of ageUnderstand and carry out oral and written directionsDress in appropriate uniform and be at the appointed workstation when the shift starts and work consistently until the shift endsFollow directions of the Housekeeping SupervisorClean and care for assigned areas and equipment; set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervisionMust meet health assessment requirements, including a two-state Mantoux skin testMust be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks requiredMust be capable of performing all essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodationsABOUT US:VestraCare is a portfolio of five health care facilities in New York state, including: Brookhaven Health Care Facility in East Patchogue; Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk; Roscoe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Roscoe; Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boonville; and Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Johnson City.
