Removes and sets molds according to the mold change schedule. Maintains molds for cleanliness and repairs as needed or as directed by lead man. Performs mold cleaning and required documentation. Manages and controls tooling and processing changes in the injection molding presses.DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS1.Performs all duties and essential job functions of the Mold Set-Up Technician II position. Complex mold set-up without supervision. Completes process, LPAs, and in-process audits. Acts as trainer for all Mold Set-Up Technicians. Performs advanced troubleshooting and wiring.OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions. This involves attaching the mold to a chain by screwing rings into the top of the mold and then using a forklift hook the chains over the forks and lift mold from machine and transport to work area. May need to push or pull at mold to position out of machine to attach to chain2/3 of machines are positions where an overhead hoist can be used to lift mold from the machine. Still may involve pushing and pulling to the mold to position for the hoist.Employee using tools will take mold apart using constant fingering, wrist turning and twistingOnce repaired or replace employee will transport mold back to the machine and repeat the process to re-installEmployee involved in shipping and receiving moldsMay involve the use of blueprints to repairStoneridge is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
