Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge in West St. Paul offers senior living with services to 127 customers and a 37-bed transitional care and rehabilitation center, 24 memory care apartments and 10 care suites. Walker Methodist Westwood Ridge in West St. Paul is hiring for RAI Coordinator for our TCU department. This position responsible for monitoring charting and reimbursement for patients or residents receiving Inclusive Insurance and Medicare.

Responsible for monitoring charting and reimbursement for patients or residents receiving Inclusive Insurance and Medicare. Ensure admission paper work is prepared and/or Electronic Medical Record is accurately completed by the designated IDT member. Act as a primary trainer for the MDS and care planning process. Assist in the completion of the MDSs as assigned by supervisor.

This position requires-

• Current experience with completion with MDS/CAA's, care Planning, transmissions and error follow-up

• Current experience with Medicare/PDPM requirements

• ICD-10 coding experience

• Work with corporate finance team and insurance carriers with billing issues, appeals, insurance claims

Graduate of an RN/LPN accredited school of nursing with a current active RN/LPN license in the State of Minnesota.

Required Experience: Previous long-term care experience. Current experience with Medicare PPS. LPN must have 2 years of experience.

Preferred Experience: ICD-10 Coding experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•Collect, organize, and analyze data. •Work independently with efficient time management skills, as well as a team player.

Major Position Accountabilities:

A. Responsible for the completion of the RAI process for assigned residents.

B. Maintain technical and professional competency by attending webinars, seminars, and appropriate conferences

. C. Demonstrate professional and courteous conduct with all customers, including residents, family members, visitors, physicians, vendors, staff, etc

D. Attend appropriate staff meetings/in-services as mandated by federal, state, and Walker Methodist standards.

E. Knowledge and compliance of federal, state, Walker Methodist, and community rules and regulations as well as policies and procedures. Upholds professional standards published by the Minnesota Board of Nursing

. F. Knowledge and compliance with state and federal resident and employee privacy rules, regulations, and laws

. G. Knowledge and compliance with community policies and procedures on resident and employee privacy, dissemination records, and consents.

H. Teaches and trains new and existing staff on the RAI process, MDS completion, and supporting software use.

I. Participates in the Quality Improvement process for the community and the company.

J. Maintain clear communication with immediate supervisor, DON, and Administrator and other appropriate parties regarding significant information.

K. Complete the MDS, CAAs, and care plan in accordance with state and federal requirements.

L. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
