PURPOSE

To ensure our guest's experience in the restaurant is pleasant by greeting guests with a smile, seating guests in appropriate sections, performing money transactions on the POS register, and handling cash accurately.

SUPERVISORY SCOPE
  • None.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet and seat guests with a smile in the proper section following the Rotation Procedure.
  • Ask the Guest for feedback on their meal, and invite them back as they leave the restaurant.
  • Operate POS Register, handle cash accurately, complete daily register transactions, and make deposit to the vault.
  • Check back with the guests during their meals to ensure they are satisfied with the restaurant and their service.
  • Inform guests of special events and answer questions about Casino events.
  • Support servers on the floor with cleaning floors, arranging tables, and filling water glasses and coffee cups.
  • Keep Supervisor updated on the business flow of the restaurant.
  • Stock all cashier supplies.
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning duties.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • None.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to handle detailed instructions, relate to others and have a courteous attitude under pressure.
  • Excellent math skills with experience in cash handling.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all gaming and personnel matters.
  • Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and team members.
  • Must possess a high regard for customer service and employee relations.
PREFERRED

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD).
  • Previous Guest Service experience.
  • Two (2) years Restaurant and Cash Handling experience.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of MICROS or equivalent POS System.

Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
