About Us

Since 2014, Albert has been enhancing educational outcomes by providing students with engaging questions and feedback, and teachers with actionable data and flexible instructional tools. We believe in making the greatest impact by equipping teachers with the highest quality practice and assessment content possible.

In this role, you will work part-time as a contractor, delivering live, in-person, and virtual professional development sessions to Albert customers. We seek candidates passionate about utilizing their teaching expertise and experience.
Responsibilities
  • To become certified to conduct sessions, you must participate in and complete onboarding within 3 to 4 weeks of hire date. This includes both asynchronous courses and live virtual meetings.
  • Facilitate engaging virtual professional development sessions for educators, adapting to meet participant needs.
  • Internalize and be prepared to confidently train educators on all aspects of Albert's extensive course library, data tools, and features.
  • Foster secure, collaborative, and productive learning environments for educators.
  • Engage in internal professional development, including observations, feedback, and coaching, to further professional growth.
  • Complete pre-and post-training operations procedures, including leaving detailed notes promptly.
  • In the fall of 2024, Professional Learning Associates will exclusively lead virtual professional developments. In the future, responsibilities will potentially include regional on-site professional developments.
Location

We are a remote-first company. In the future, responsibilities will potentially include regional travel to facilitate in-person professional development. We are accepting applications from people who live and work in the following states:
  • Arizona

  • Florida
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Texas
Clarity on Hours
  • There is no guarantee of hours or the number of workshops available.
  • Peak times include August through October and January through February, although professional development is delivered throughout the school year.
  • Due to this role's as-needed and seasonal nature, we do not recommend holding a full-time position and the Professional Learning Associate position simultaneously.
Start Date

The expected start date for onboarding is late July 2024.
Benefits
  • Compensation:
    • $1,000 upon completing ~30-40 hours of remote onboarding within 3 to 4 weeks of hire date.
    • $100 for each completed Virtual Professional Development session, including preparation, delivery, and closing time. Each session requires ~2-3 hours of work.
  • Top-performing Professional Learning Associates are given priority consideration for full-time roles that become available on the Albert Adoption team.

  • Make a nationwide impact by helping educators save time with innovative tools, empowering them to spend less time writing assessments or grading and more time with their students.
  • Improve professional skills from the collective expertise in adult learning best practices of our in-house professional learning team.

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of US-based teaching experience in grades 5-12.

  • Discipline and self-motivation. You do things right the first time, hit deadlines, love executing a bold vision, and are known for being incredibly dependable.
  • Ability to facilitate professional learning experiences for teachers, utilizing adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency with technology, including navigating virtual learning platforms (e.g., Zoom) and using Google Suite.
  • Experience using Albert in your classroom is an advantage but not required.
  • Reliable internet that supports video calls and a quiet, professional place to deliver sessions. You must also own the equipment necessary for remote delivery.
    • Note: As mentioned above, in the future, responsibilities will potentially include regional on-site professional developments. For in-person trainings, Professional Learning Associates must be able to travel as needed for high-demand on-site training days. You must also have a valid driver's license.
