Broadway Veterinary Hospital, located in Boise, ID, is seeking a new DVM to join our growing team While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required. Serving the community for 45 years, we at Broadway practice high-quality medicine, offering full-service care to dogs, cats and exotics. Our loyal and trusting client base trusts us to help their pets with long-term preventative care, routine medical, surgical and dental services, early disease detection screening, and management of complicated chronic disease processes. We are a fully-equipped, modern hospital with ultrasound and digital radiography, including dental radiographs. We have a beautiful building with a large, open lobby, individual doctors’ offices, five exam rooms, two treatment areas, and separate dental and surgical suites. Additionally, we have well-trained and well-utilized technicians and support teammates, allowing for two technicians to assist the DVM for every procedure. We value continuing education and support both our doctors and staff in their growth and development. *Veterinarian Role Requirements* * Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university * Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which you are applying * Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude * The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members * A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics * Proficiency in surgery is a plus *Veterinarian Role Responsibilities* * Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. * Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products. * Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient. * Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine and attend Continuing Education meetings. * Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service. *Veterinarian Benefits* * Veterinarians always earn their base salary and never owe any money at the end of the year. * $5000 Relocation Assistance * Paid Time Off (You are not required to make up production while on PTO.) * Maternity Leave * 401k (You receive a 100% match on the first 3% you put in, plus a 50% match on the next 2%.) * High Producer Bonus * Health, Dental, Vision, and Critical Illness Insurance * Hospital Indemnity, Life, and Accident Insurance * Long & Short-term Disability Insurance * Professional Liability Coverage * TeleDoc - Free Access 24/7 * Access to Free In-House Continued Education (CE) * Growth tracks for leadership development * Mentorship and coaching for new graduates and experienced Veterinarians * …and much more Join us in our mission to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
