Charlottesville, United States Booz Allen Hamilton Full time
Geospatial Analyst, Senior
The Opportunity:

Critical decisions are made every single day in our government, and our military. What if you could use your analytical skills to help them make informed decisions? With all the information available today, it takes a skilled analyst to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. As a Geospatial Analyst, you use your specialized technical and analytical experience and your attention to detail to work as part of a diverse contract team performing in-depth technical analysis of foreign conventional and irregular warfare threats to US ground force systems, combat support systems, and US operations. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to produce finished all-source intelligence products that adhere to client and IC standards using a multi-discipline approach including HUMINT, IMINT/GEOINT, MASINT, SIGINT, and OSINT tools and databases.

As a Geospatial Analyst on our team, you'll help your client understand their operational landscape and mission environment. Using your comprehensive understanding of various collection platforms, you'll explore new data sources, build effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources. You'll validate information and develop tradecraft as you build assessments for warfighters, senior policy makers and internal client publications. As operational enablers, geospatial analysts integrate imagery analysis of terrain mapping, route planning and maritime geospatial activity into all-source production to directly support the client's production, plans, and operations. Analytical duties include interpretation of imagery from a variety of sensors to develop and support force-on-force ground scenarios, identifying significant intelligence trends within a range of activities, and delivering strategic and anticipatory finished assessments. This also is a chance to grow your expertise and broaden your skillset into areas like data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. You'll share your expertise with other analysts through leadership and mentoring. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you'll have resources to learn new skills and tools. Join us as we provide the right information at the right time to support the critical needs of our warfighters, nation's leaders, and policy makers.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:
  • Experience with all-source intelligence processes, data evaluation, and analysis
  • Experience with intelligence analysis tools and databases
  • Knowledge of National Level, DoD, DCI, DIA, and DA Information Security Program and Foreign Disclosure concepts, principles, practices, and procedures to review, analyze, and release classified and unclassified data in accordance with the National Disclosure Policy
  • Knowledge of data transfer requirements for moving data between classified and unclassified computer systems
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and pursue developments in academia or fields that affect tradecraft methodology
  • Ability to conduct geospatial analysis of objects, networks, and persons using geospatial tools, methodologies, spatial-temporal data, literal imagery analysis, and social and physical sciences
  • Ability to exploit imagery, vector, and data, including non-geospatially correlated data, to locate, identify, and map objects in the spatial domain
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience as a Geospatial Analyst on US Army or DoD programs and projects, Master's degree and 10 years of experience as a Geospatial Analyst on US Army or DoD programs and projects, or 15 years of experience as a Geospatial Analyst on US Army or DoD programs and projects in lieu of a degree
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
