Project Specialist

The Project Specialist role provides superior customer service to OEM customers assigned as well as non-OEM customers and is typically the primary contact for day-to-day business with our customers. The position builds solid working relationships with customers, sales reps, production leadership, engineering and customer service team members to generate and manage quotations and sales orders from initial request through delivery of product, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.

A Day In The Life- Be the point of contact and embodiment of Meramec to assigned customer base for all quotations, orders and information and support needs.
- Generate and manage quotations from initial inquiry through conversion or closure of quotation in a timely manner.
- Generate and manage sales orders from initial submission through delivery of order.
- Build relationship with customer base and sales reps to exhibit competency, generate trust and business growth.
- Actively participant and lead improvement activities to grow customer satisfaction, sales and profitability in the near-term and long-term.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven account management or other relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively and credibly.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
- The ability to work with little or no supervision in delivering high quality work and capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
- Function and contribute in a team environment.
- Continual growth of knowledge and personal talents.
- 5-7 years of customer service experience
- 2 years minimum of SAP experience is desired.
- Highly proficient at Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel.
