Dental Assistant

Position Overview Magnolia Dental is seeking an organized and energetic Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will support our dentists in delivering high-quality care, ensuring patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Assist the dentist during procedures, including handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clean field.
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on post-procedure care, oral hygiene, and preventative dental practices.
- Monitor and restock supplies in treatment rooms and the practice as needed.
- Support front office tasks, such as scheduling appointments and verifying patient insurance, when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Dental Assistant program or relevant certification required
- Current radiology certification for the state of Ohio (required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and the dental team.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with dental software and modern technologies is a plus.
