What You'll Get To Do • Help to oversee the day-to-day production operations and raw materials (such as clay) - Monitor and optimize cost of raw materials - Coordinate efforts with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Quarry teams to make an efficient and effective raw material mix - Lead the effort for process optimization and debottlenecking plant operations where necessary • Review and analyze operational data to evaluate and recommend changes for more efficient and continuous operation • Lead daily consultation with the production and quarry teams to discuss and evaluate performance and the resulting impact on overall production • Facilitate operational approach to ensure production goals are met daily including attention to product inventory • Coordinate with the Quarry Manager and Process Engineers to utilize the production staff to meet goals within the Clay Mining area, interact directly with the Production Supervisors when assigning priorities to ensure the success of the Clay Mining Process Department • Participate in formal Continuous Improvement Program initiatives, investigate production issues/events, and develop SPSs as a solution for future failures • Advise Management and Operations Staff of necessary adjustments and changes to protocols to minimize future incidents • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Clay Mining process and production process • Strict attention to maintaining the quality of the product and working directly with the lab supervision to generate and execute protocols that protect the consistency and overall quality of our product • Participate in the Department call schedule • Ensure procedures and employee actions comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures What We Are Looking For • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Mining engineering would be preferred but not required • Prior manufacturing exposure and automation experience are a plus • Willingness to travel to other locations during the training program • Strong communication skills, both oral and written • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with 24-hour operations What We Offer • Competitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan • Highly competitive benefits programs • 401k retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions English (US) **Employer Statement:** Equal Opportunity Employer - Minority / Female / Veteran / Disabled
