We are looking for a Thermal Analysis Engineer to join our team with JETS II Teammate company, GeoControl Systems, Inc.

The selected candidate will:

  • Support the thermal analysis group.
  • Simulate and evaluate performance of agile and passive thermal control systems for future NASA vehicles and habitats including the Orion spacecraft and vehicles capable of lunar or Mars missions.
  • Correlate thermal models to test results.
  • Develop thermal models of space hardware or test equipment using Thermal Desktop analysis code and first principal models with standard desktop software.
  • Perform other tasks assigned.
Requirements

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area. -
  • Knowledge of programming in one or more of the following: FORTRAN, C, Visual Basic. -
  • Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to use data to draw conclusions and support the conclusions when challenged. -
  • Excellent presentation skills. -
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in a team environment.
Requisition Preferences:
  • BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited engineering school. -
  • Experience with developing thermal simulation models of spacecraft hardware and systems at varying levels of fidelity ranging from detailed, first principal models to more descriptive lumped-parameter models.
