Other sales aspects include pricing and negotiation. The Retail Sales Associate responsibilities extend beyond sales and include heavy amounts of order entry, order tracking, and problem resolution. The most successful Retail Sales Associate take full ownership of their customers and orders and go the extra mile to ensure their customers are not just satisfied, but also informed throughout the entire sales process. Retail Sales Associate will work with most of the customers in person as they walk into our retail store. Primary Responsibilities:Answer retail phones and provide service to our customers.Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of the steel products and services offered; leverages this knowledge to offer valuable solutions to customersGreet customers walking into the retail storeWrite orders for walk-in customers accurately (e.g. specifications, processing requirements, delivery, etc.) Attention to detail is paramount.Assist in fulfilment of will-call orders by completing paperwork, notifying warehouse, and directing the customer to the proper pick-up locationTake payment from customers, review the total in-stock and on order position to determine material availability and maintaining & ordering store stock.Accurately fulfill expectations for quality, delivery, paperwork, communication, etc.Price inquiries in a manner which maximizes revenues, with consideration to minimizing operational costsEngage management on significant inquiries to help maximize the probability of successCooperate with teammates both within and outside the Sales Dept.Assist other associates when neededPhysical & Work Requirements:Ensure professional appearance.Requires ability to perform primary job responsibilities while spending long periods of time at a computerStanding to greet and assist people coming into the store.May require travel to the office in extreme weather conditionsMaintain clean and organized showroom floor.
